Background & Style
The Dashboard supports two layers of visual customization:
- Dashboard page background (entire page)
- Widget style (individual widget)
(TODO: image to be added)
1) Dashboard Page Background
In edit mode, click Background at the top to adjust the current page's background. Options include:
- Use the theme's default background
- Solid color (adjustable opacity)
- Gradient (direction + two endpoint colors)
- Image (options: fit mode, opacity, blur, etc.)
- Pattern overlay (grid / dots / crosshair, etc.)
Tip:
- Keep the background "low-contrast and low-noise" to avoid hurting the readability of widget content.
2) Widget Style (Frosted Glass / Border / Shadow, etc.)
In edit mode, click the "Settings" button at a widget's top-right corner to adjust its style. Common options:
- Background type: Transparent / Solid color / Gradient / Image
- Frosted glass: Blur intensity, opacity
- Border: Style, thickness, color
- Shadow: Soft / Raised / Glow, etc.
- Corner radius and padding
- Text and accent colors (heading color, info color, accent color, etc.)
Tip:
- Start from a preset style and make small tweaks from there — it's much faster than starting from scratch.
3) Font Size (Standard / Small)
The Font Size option in edit mode controls the overall font size preference for the Dashboard:
- Standard: Easier to read
- Small: Fits more information within the same widget
Tip:
- Use "Small" for data-dense dashboards; use "Standard" for display-style dashboards (large headings, large numbers).
